Short answer: Yes, DPC doctors definitely need an online presence.

Long answer: We’ll get to that in a bit…

The Basics of Online Marketing

It’s no surprise that “going online” is a necessity in today’s business world. We are on our phones constantly… which means we are being bombarded with advertisements and promotions.

But you don’t have to have a ton of pop-ups to appeal to your ideal customers. In fact, a bunch of ads can be a bit off-putting. That’s where a more subtle, organic approach to online marketing is needed.

Having an online presence basically means that you’re searchable and credible, through a website, blog, social media channels, etc. This visibility is key for any business, but for DPC doctors, having an online presence is SUPER important.

Why is an Online Presence Necessary?

Think about it: when you are looking for a product or service, what’s the first thing you typically do? Google it. Or Bing it or whatever search engine suits your fancy. We’re in an age where online businesses are thriving. No longer do we look at the yellow pages or go by word of mouth–we go by Dr. Google instead.

As a DPC doctor, you could easily fly under the radar, relying on antiquated word-of-mouth techniques to promote yourself in your local community. OR, you could take control of your future.

You could set up a website, make Instagram reels, post tidbits on Facebook, blog about your work and offerings. If you’re feeling bold, you could even try to make a new TikTok trend!

You can make yourself stand out… by being an online force to be reckoned with.

Where Should I Start?

Don’t worry; if the thought of going viral on TikTok makes you squirm, you don’t have to go that route. But you do need a website… and social media accounts would be nice too.

With a website, you can benefit from SEO and keyword research… and the better your loading speed, accessibility, mobile compatibility, and content relevancy are, the higher up you get on Google’s page ranking. Including a blog can help with this, since the more words you write, the more SEO opportunities you have.

So, start with your website. Get that up-and-running and then get your socials in order. Start by posting consistently and once you get in a rhythm, then you can think about adding in reels and trends and all of that fancy stuff.

As a DPC doctor, creating an online presence is your ticket to success; that’s the summary of our long answer.

Now we have a short question for you: why are you waiting?
