Instagram is a never ending cycle of changing algorithms and formats. With this being said, this is exciting news for business owners. Instagram has added new features and filters to help resolve business issues and to help the owner’s audience. Here are a few new updates that have been added:

1.) Auto-generated captions for Reels:

Have you ever tried to watch a Reel and you had no idea what the person was saying. Well, no need for that frustration anymore. Instagram has added an option to add auto-generated captions to your Reels. You can do this by uploading your video to Instagram and the captions will already automatically be turned on. When viewing the video, you can tap on the overflow menu and select “Manage Captions” to access a switch to turn on and off captions.

2.) New Audio Features:

Creating a reel and the volume is just too loud? Instagram has added a new audio feature to help with adjusting your audio to your reel. To adjust your volume and add your voiceover, just click the song note icon on the preview screen after you’ve uploaded your reel. For importing your audio, you can import audio from any reel that you have in your library and overlay it onto your video. If you don’t want to record your voice you can select in your options text-to-speech. For this option, you can just type text in and a fun voice will read it right over your video.

3.) Creators Marketplace:

This is a new project that Instagram has come out with to help creators collab with certain brands. Creator Marketplace helps you find certain interests and brands you are wanting to work with. You can select up to 10 items of what you would like to work with by doing this, this will identify which item best suits your profile. Brands will have the ability to send projects to selected creators all within the Instagram app and the creators will have the ability to accept or reject the project. After you have done a project, payment will be processed by instagram for the project and sent to you.

4.)Parental Control:

Parents can now have more control over what their children watch. Parents can initiate the supervision of the teen’s Instagram account. Both parent and teen must agree on the terms on Instagram.Parents can set a scheduling option of when their teen can/can’t be on Instagram.Parents will be informed when their teen reports something on Instagram. The data will include who and what they have reported.

5.) Updates for Sensitive Content:

With the new update, Instagram is giving more options to control sensitive accounts in Search, Accounts You Might Follow, Reels, Hashtag Pages, and In-Feed Recommendations. The Sensitive Content Control Center has three options: “More,” “Standard,” and “Less.” “Standard” is the default state and will prevent you from seeing sensitive content. “More” shows more sensitive content and accounts. “Less” will show you less sensitive content that the “Standard” state.To access the sensitivity options, just tap Settings -> Press Account -> Choose Sensitive Content Control -> Choose one of the 3 options.
