Is checking Instagram and clicking through dozens of stories a part of your daily routine? We know for most of us, it is, especially if you work in Digital Marketing or Social Media. Utilizing Instagram stories is an easy way to boost your engagement and keep your customer aware of your brand and what you do Today we’ll be sharing some insider tips about how to use Instagram stories for boosted engagement and better digital marketing.

How to use Instagram stories for business

  1. Use product stickers
    • You can easily direct your followers to purchase something off your website but using Instagram’s product sticker feature. This allows you to tag whatever it is you’re selling with a product sticker that will allow customers to buy directly from your Instagram story. This is especially useful when we remember that the average scroll time on social media is about 2 seconds, this kind of shortcut is what makes it easier to turn a follower into a paying customer!
  2. Use poll stickers
    • Using poll stickers is a fun and easy way to engage with your followers. These tend to have the highest rates of engagement since consumers love to be heard. The customers benefit from feeling seen and heard while you get a direct look at what they want and in turn get guidance about the kind of content that piques their interests.
  3. Go live on IG stories
    • When you go live all of your followers who are currently active will get a notification, you can utilize this feature even further by going live when people are most active, from 10 am to 3 pm. There have been surveys done where they even look at the days on which people are most active and the results show that Wednesday is the best for posting (especially around 11 am), followed by Friday at 10 to 12 am.
    • It’s also just as important to be consistent with how often you post to your feed, the best results come from posting at least 2 – 3 times a week. It’s also to connect with friends/mutuals and to remove any fake followers from bot accounts. Engage with your followers by asking them questions and keep a consistent color scheme or signature filter across your feed for a visually appealing grid!
